Rules and Consequences
To ensure that the classroom maintains a prime learning environment, I have made a list of rules for the classroom that all students must follow. These rules are put in place to sole promote good classroom learning. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me and we can discuss the issue.

- Please respect the teacher, other students, and all equipment that is not your own. The students owe it to themselves and everyone else to treat each other with respect and courtesy.
Rules and Procedures while you enter the classroom: (Choir)
- Any candy, gum, food, or drink must be thrown or kept out of the classroom. (Water is the only exception.)
- Students should find folder in folder shelf and report to their assigned seats.
- Students may speak quietly if early to class but should be quiet as starting bell sounds.
During class time: (Choir)
- Stay in assigned seats unless directed otherwise.
- Please keep your hands and body to yourself and try not to disrupt others.
- Be respectful to the other students and any instruments in the classroom.
- When not singing or when the teacher is working with a section that isn't yours, please keep talking to a minimum. If you must ask a question of your neighbor, please whisper and respect the other students working.
- If there are any questions, please raise your hand and wait until called upon by the teacher.
At the end of class time: ( Choirs)
- Stay in your seat until dismissed.
- Neaten all music in folder and return your folder to the appropriate spot on the folder shelf.
- Wait for final comments by instructor.
- Carefully leave the risers. Make sure you are considerate to other and their materials.
In Case of Emergencies:
- Restroom: If possible, please ask permission to leave.
- Illness: If possible, ask permission to leaving.
- Weather Emergencies: Follow school policies.
Consequences
- Any breaking of school wide rules will be dealt with according to the school handbook.
- There is a zero tolerance policy for disrespect to the instructor, fellow classmates, or equipment of the school.
- Disruption in class may result in time out, or detentions for upper level students.
- The first offence will be considered the students last warning which will result in a talk with the students and an email to the parents. For students in General music, this will be decided on a case by case basis.
